Catalina Island remains mired in a tough bite. Rockfish remain good off the island and a few halibut and small bass continue to show, but the yellowtail and white seabass are simply not showing. Squid are also no-shows. San Clemente Island has very good coverage over the weekend, but except for some private skiffs that were able to get in tighter than the bigger sportboats, San Clemente Island has mostly been a rockfish game, too. One skiff angler reported limits of calicos, four halibut and one white seabass at San Clemente Island this week.
