The San Diego long-range fleet continues to hammer big yellowfin tuna, south off the cape of Baja California. Most of the yellowfin have been from 120 to 180 pounds, and there are 200- to 240-pound fish caught each week. This bite just remains awesome. The spring season on The Ridge, and at Cedros and Benitos islands for yellowtail and smaller yellowfin is also about to begin, and the fly-in skiff trips off Cedros Island will be starting soon.
