TOP NEWS: The lower Owens River below Pleasant Valley Reservoir has been flowing from 250 to 300 cfs this past week. The East Walker flows have ramping back down over the past week, going from just under 900 cfs down to 330 cfs Wednesday. Very little fishing pressure and tough fishing. The West Walker flows have dropped from around 400 cfs Monday night down to 260 cfs Wednesday. Slow fishing. The top spot in the region continues to be the Owens River above Crowley. There are a lot of big rainbows up out of Crowley in the Hot Fingers stretch of the Owens River, but access is still via snowshoes, and roads have been closed during storms. A few 16- to 22-inch fish are being landed in a fairly tough bite.
