GENERAL UPDATE: The general season closed Sunday, Nov. 15. A number of waters remain open to year-around, catch-and-release fishing.
TOP NEWS: Almost no fishing pressure anywhere, but a handful of anglers for fishing the upper Owens above Crowley for the big rainbows and cutthroat hybrids that pack into the river in the winter. The East and West Walker rivers have seen few anglers, but Hot Creek has had some pretty good midge and baetis hatches again this past week. The lower Owens River has low flows and fair action on small nymphs or streamers.
