Coroloma catches an Opah

OXNARD — A sportfishing vessel out of Hook’s Landing reeled in a warm-blooded fish known for navigating the deep sea. Coroloma, out on a half-day fishing expedition with 22 anglers on July 15, reeled in a 120-pound Opah.

Angler Kwan Kim reeled in the Opah at Anacapa on 20-pound test and size two hook.
Capt. Steve Earwood was at the helm of the sportfishing vessel.

Also reeled onto Coroloma during the half-day venture were five lingcod, 12 barracuda, 60 rockfish and 160 red snapper.
