Central Coast, May 11 Report

Hot Bites: Still relatively light fishing pressure at all the lakes on the Central Coast, but the bass bite is fair to good with most fish post-spawn now. Margarita is full and still spilling, and the bass have been fair to good on plastics and reaction baits, but a lot of the bass are in a post spawn funk. Still decent crappie and bluegill bites. Lopez is at 62 percent of capacity and rising daily and the bass bite is good here, too, with panfish action improving by the day. San Antonio is 57 percent of capacity and the south shore is open for weekends-only. The South Shore park and ramps will open May 19, with a full reopening, including the north shore ramps tentatively set for June 9. No fishing report information. Nacimiento is at 87 percent capacity and the spotted bass action is good, with a lot of fish on plastics and reaction baits in less than 20 feet of water.
