High Desert Lakes, Dec. 15 Report

HESPERIA LAKE: The trout action has been good with weekly 1,000-pound plants of Mt. Lassen rainbows. Most are one to two pounds, but some from three to eight pounds or bigger in each stock. The best action has been near the drain on PowerBait. Top fish this past week were a pair of 10-8 rainbows. One was caught by Frank Patella, Alta Loma, to top off his five-fish limit, and the other was landed by Jose Cervara, Hesperia. Both were landed at the drain. Emilio Navarro, Adelanto, landed a four-pound rainbows from Finger Cove on green glitter PowerBait. Information: 800-521-6332 or 760-244-5951.

JESS RANCH LAKES: The trout action has been fair on PowerBait in salmon peach, garlic, and fluorescent orange, or inflated nightcrawlers. Most of the fish are in the two-pound class. The catfish bite has slowed, but a few bass continue to show on nightcrawlers or jerk baits. No bluegill reports. For more information call (760)240-1107 or go to jessranchlakesnews.com.
