Cold water conditions continue to dominate the entire local coastal scene, continuing to delay any significant surface bite from San Diego up into the Channel Islands. Skippers are reporting good numbers of white seabass at Catalina and San Clemente islands, and schools of yellowtail — but the fish are just not eating. Surface water temperatures have been as low as 49 degrees in some places. Almost unprecedented.
