Orange County Lakes, Dec. 15 Report

SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES: Good trout action. Lots of nice stringers this past week, and a few bigger fish. Top rainbows reported were over 10 pounds, including two at 10-8, one landed by Adan Garcia, Anaheim, to top off his 23-pound stringer, and the other by Chris Vanaagten, Ontario. Tony Glasur, Artesia, landed a 10-2 rainbow. Trout plants are weekly, and trophy fish are part of each plant. Information: 714-632-7851 or log on at fishinglakes.com.

IRVINE LAKE: The lake is now closed and will be for at least the immediate future.

LAGUNA NIGUEL LAKE: There have been 3,000 pounds of rainbows planted since the first of the month. Next 1,000-pound plant will be the week after Christmas.
