Fish Report-Freshwater, Dec. 3

HESPERIA LAKE: This week’s trout plant was scheduled for Thursday and the plant Thanksgiving week went in on Monday. Each plant is 1,000 pounds of Mt. Lassen rainbow trout with most in the 2-pound range, but some bigger. The trout bite has been fair. Best fish reported was an seven-pounder caught by Jay Dee, Las Vegas, on green PowerBait at the drain. Lagan Romo, San Bernardino, had a six-pounder on a Power Mouse, and a 5-8 was landed by Shon Roberts, Riverside, on a Pee Wee Jig. Information: 800-521-6332 or 760-244-5951.

JESS RANCH LAKES: Trout bite has been fair to good this past week on two-pound class fish. Best action has been on PowerBait in salmon peach, rainbow, and garlic. Some fish on nightcrawlers, small trout jigs, Jake’s, Roostertails, and Thomas Buoyants. A few catfish to five pounds, and a few bass to three pounds also continue to show. MOJAVE NARROWS: DFW trout plants this week and three weeks ago. No word on county trout plants, which normally would have begun nearly over a month ago. No fishing report. For lake information: 760-245-2226.
