Fish Report-Freshwater, Nov. 11

HESPERIA LAKE: The first trout plant of the season went in Thursday this week, a 1,000-pound plant of Mt. Lassen rainbows. The final catfish plant of the season was Nov. 5. Top catfish reported this past week included a nine-pounder channel landed by Keith Herring, Ontario, on Hogwild off the north shore, and an 8-pounder landed by Sylvester Listern, Victorville. JESS RANCH LAKES: The cold weather really turned on the trout bite with good to excellent action and a lot of nice stringers reported over the past week. Most are 2-pound class fish. Best action has been on PowerBait in salmon peach, spring green, and garlic. Some fish on nightcrawlers, small trout jigs, Jake’s, Roostertails, and Thomas Buoyants. A few catfish to five pounds, and a few bass to three pounds also continue to show. For more information call (760)240-1107.
