HESPERIA LAKE: The first trout plant of the season went in Thursday last week, and another 1,000-pound plant of Mt. Lassen rainbows went in Tuesday this week. The trout bite has been fair to good. JESS RANCH LAKES: The cold weather really turned on the trout bite with generally good action over the past week. Most are two-pound class fish. Best action has been on PowerBait in salmon peach, rainbow, and garlic. Some fish on nightcrawlers, small trout jigs, Jake’s, Roostertails, and Thomas Buoyants. A few catfish to 5 pounds, and a few bass to 3 pounds also continue to show. For more information call (760)240-1107.
MOJAVE NARROWS: First DFW trout plant of the season this week. No word on county trout plants, which normally would have begun nearly a month ago. No fishing report. For lake information: 760-245-2226.
