CUCAMONGA-GUASTI: Fair to good trout action. County trout plants are weekly, and DFW trout went in three weeks ago. All Serrano, Ontario, landed an 11-pound rainbow on corn from the large lake. There will be a trout derby Feb. 25. Entry fee is $20 per angler with over $1,000 in cash and prizes given away to the anglers catching the biggest 25 rainbows. PRADO: No plants this season. Lake maintenance is ongoing. Small boats (non-inflatable with a hard bottom) smaller thanĀ 16 feet with electric motors are allowed. Information: 909-597-4260.

YUCAIPA: Trout action has been slow to fair this past week. Daniel Peters, Yucaipa, landed a 10-pound rainbow to top off his two fish stringer. Both were caught on red Power Worms from the middle lake. Best action has been on trout plastics, nightcrawlers and small trout jigs. County trout plants are weekly, and DFW trout also went in two and four weeks ago. There will be a youth fishing derby Feb. 11, and the annual adult event will be March 11. GLEN HELEN: The trout bite has been slow to fair, with most of the fish showing on PowerBait, small jigs and trout plastics. County trout plants are weekly, and DFW rainbows were also planted two weeks ago. Steve Montel of San Bernardino had a 3-pound catfish on a jig from the small lake. Information: 909-887-7540.
