CUCAMONGA-GUASTI: The trout bite has been fair to good. There are now weekly plants by the county, and DFW fish were planted this week. There will be an adult fishing clinic Saturday, Jan. 21. Registration required five days in advance. Cost is $10 per person, plus the $10 vehicle fee. Information: 909-481-4205.

PRADO: No plants this season. Lake maintenance is ongoing. Small boats (non-inflatable with a hard bottom) under 16 feet with electric motors are allowed. Information: 909-597-4260.

YUCAIPA: Trout action was very good this past week and a number of quality rainbows were landed. Top fish was a 15.1-pounder landed Chris Cunningham of Yucaipa on a Lil Jake in black and yellow from the upper lake. Magnum Scuro of Indio landed a 13-pound rainbow on a nightcrawler from the middle lake, while Scott Noble of Riverside caught a 9.5-pounder on a jig from the upper lake. County trout plants are weekly, and DFW trout also went in this week and last week. There will be a youth fishing derby Feb. 11, and the annual adult event will be March 11. GLEN HELEN: The 2017 trout derby drew 363 participants and the winning fish was 14.5-pounds. The fishing has been fair to good over the past week in spite of the weather. County trout plants are weekly, and DFW rainbows were also planted last week. Information: 909-887-7540.
