ARIZONA FISHING REPORTS: The Arizona Game and Fish Department compiles a weekly report for most waters in the state, including the Colorado River. Anglers can read the report at this direct link.
FLOW INFORMATION: Reservoir elevation levels and flow releases for the entire lower Colorado River are available at this website with information updated hourly.
TOP NEWS: Fishing pressure remains light and weather really hampered the fish all along the river this past weekend. The striper bite has remained slow along most of the river. Ditto for the black bass, panfish, and catfish. A few channel catfish are showing for patient anglers all along the river. The two bites of note: There is fair trout action in the Davis Camp and Rotary Park areas of the river near Bullhead City, and trout were planted last week. Second, the handful of anglers fishing for smallmouth bass in the lower river are seeing some fish in the main channels along rip-rap and around structure. Best action on slowly-fished crawdad cranks or jigs.
