TOP NEWS: The lower Owens River below Pleasant Valley Reservoir has been flowing at around 223 cfs this past week. The West Walker was at around 1,000 cfs Wednesday, up from around 100 cfs last week. The East Walker has been stepped up to 380 cfs this week, up again from just over 220 cfs last week. Almost no fishing pressure at any of the year-around waters except on the upper Owens above Crowley Lake. A lot of big rainbows are up out of Crowley in the Hot Fingers stretch of the river. A few 16 to 22 inch fish are being landed in a fairly tough bite. Access to the upper Owens and Hot Creek has been via snowshoes and snowmobile right now. Be prepared for cold conditions and snow.
