The drought might be impacting fishing venues across California, but several anglers still made it to Bridgeport Reservoir to participate in the Eastern Sierra fishing season opener, which was held April 25.
According to Bridgeport Reservoir’s Jeffrey Wegner, the waterfront was “stocked quite a bit” by Mono County tourism officials and plenty of browns are to be found. “Overall, fishing has been good, not over the top but good,” Wegner said.
Weather conditions at Bridgeport were snowy, with the mercury hitting a high of 48 and low of 32, during the April 25 opener.
