Charger’s defensive end Corey Luiget will go fishing for charity on June 20 aboard the Pacific Queen to support Fish. Food. Feel Good.’s (F3G) annual 1.5 day Fishing for Charity fundraiser. An inshore and fresh water fishing enthusiast, this will be Luiget’s first time to fish for something as large as a tuna.
Founded by President Todd Bluechel, F3G is America’s only sustainable fishing charity. Feeding 80,000 San Diegans in need for free annually, F3G collects sport-caught fish and distributes them to charities throughout San Diego including: San Diego Food Bank, San Diego Rescue Mission, Father Joe’s Village, Jewish Family Services and PATH Connections Housing (Urban Angels).
The fundraiser departs Fisherman’s Landing on June 20 at 8 p.m. and returns on June 22 at 6 a.m. The Pacific Queen has room for 25 other fishermen and seats are still available; to join Liuget in support of F3G please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (858) 414-4496.
