GARDEN GROVE — The Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC) will hold its November meetings in Orange County and discuss policies proposed to govern swordfish management, groundfish fisheries and halibut catches.
PFMC’s weeklong meeting is scheduled for Nov. 13 to 19 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, a few blocks south of Disneyland at 11999 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove, California.
Topics up for discussion include:
– stock assessment and 2017-18 management specifications of the groundfish fishery
– 2016 salmon management schedule
– 2016 Pacific halibut catch sharing plan and annual fishing regulations, and
– swordfish management policy.
