Question: What is the best way to maintain live bait on a multiple-day fishing trip aboard a large boat?
Capt. Derek Walden:
“The best way to keep live bait fresh is to not put too many scoops in and maintain an adequate flow of water. The flow of new water coming in is what keeps them alive.”
He added the proper flow of water helps provide oxygen to the bait.
