Central Coast, March 1 Report

At Nacimiento, the spotted bass action has stayed fair to good on plastics, small swimbaits, and jigging spoons with a lot of two to three-pound fish. Also a pretty fair bite on white bass staging to run up into the river to spawn, with most 1 to 2 pounds. This is probably the best action on the Central Coast right now, and some of the spots have been real quality fish. At Santa Margarita, the bass are starting to perk, but it is the crappie action near the marina that has been the best bet. Lopez Lake has a fair to good crappie and bluegill bite ongoing. Not as many limits this week as the week before. Also fair bass action. No reports from San Antonio.
