At Nacimiento, the spotted bass action has stayed fair to good on plastics, small swimbaits, and jigging spoons with a lot of 2- to 3-pound fish. Also a pretty fair bite on white bass staging to run up into the river to spawn, with most 1 to 2 pounds. This is probably the best action on the Central Coast right now, and some of the spots have been real quality fish. At Santa Margarita, the bass are starting to perk. At a weekend tournament, it took five fish and 25 pounds to win, and the big fish was a 7-4. The crappie action near the marina is fair with the action early morning. Lopez Lake has a fair to good crappie and bluegill bite ongoing. Not as many limits this week as the week before. Also fair bass action. No reports from San Antonio.
