ARIZONA FISHING REPORTS: The Arizona Game and Fish Department compiles a weekly report for most waters in the state, including the Colorado Rivers. Anglers can read the report at this direct link.
FLOW INFORMATION: Reservoir elevation levels and flow releases for the entire lower Colorado River are available at this website with information updated hourly.
TOP NEWS: Fishing pressure remains light, and the striper bite has been slow along most of the river. Ditto for the black bass, panfish, and catfish. The exception this week have been some the striper action in Havasu in the main basin on fish up chasing baitfish. A few bigger fish continue to show in this bite. A few stripers also continue to show in Lake Mohave, as well, but there is very light pressure. Also of note has been the trout bite in the Davis Camp and Rotary Park areas of the river near Bullhead City, but a lack of recent plants has that action slowing. A plant is tentative slated for this week or next week. Lastly, the handful of anglers fishing for smallmouth bass in the lower river are seeing some fish in the main channels along rip-rap and around structure. Best action on slowly-fished crawdad cranks or jigs. While the flathead catfish bite is very slow a few channels continue to be caught.
