Eastern Sierra, Nov. 29 report

GENERAL UPDATE: General trout season closed last Tuesday. Many waters in Inyo and Mono counties remain open year-around and anglers should check the regulations on open waters. Top Eastern Sierra fishing report web sites are: KensSport.com (Bridgeport region), TheTroutFly.com, and SierraDrifters.com.

TOP NEWS: While most waters are closed, anglers focusing on the lower Owens River from Bishop to Lone Pine and Pleasant Valley Reservoir are seeing fair to good action. The year-around catch-and-release waters — the East and West Walker Rivers, the upper Owens River (above Crowley), and Hot Creek all continue to have just fair action for fly anglers. The East Walker is the best bet with a few quality fish to 20 inches or better on small nymphs.
