The giant squid that had been wide-open for the San Diego and Oceanside fleet fell out of the catch by late last week, and they have been absent since. The squid could pop back up as the moon moves into full Jan. 27, and the tides start ripping again late this week, but no one has a good crystal ball on these guys. They could also be done for the season.
