SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES: Good trout action after big plant last week and more trout are slated for this weekend, including super trout from Mt. Lassen. Lots of nice stringers this past week, and the big fish was a 10-8 landed by Tean and Lam Khensovan, Long Beach, to top off their stringer. Information: 714-632-7851 or log on at fishinglakes.com.

IRVINE LAKE: The lake is now closed and will be for at least the immediate future.

LAGUNA NIGUEL LAKE: First trout stocking of the season was a 2,000-pound plant two weeks ago. There will be a 1,000-pound plant this week, next week, and the weeks of Dec. 5 and Dec. 26.
