The rockfish bite all along the coast remains good, but the conditions have been difficult since April 7, with winds and a high swell. That was moderating April 10, and the scores were going back up again. On April 9, Monte Carlo out of 22nd Street Landing had a bumpy ride for its 15 anglers, but they still landed 29 red snapper, 24 rockfish, one white fish and 193 sand dabs. New Del Mar on a half-day trip April 9 with 21 anglers came back with 78 rockfish and one sand bass on board.
