HESPERIA LAKE: There were trout plants last week and another on Wednesday this week. This week’s plant is the last trout plant of the season and catfish plants (and night fishing) will start next week. There has been consistent trout action and some quality fish each week. Best rainbow this past week was an 11-pounder landed by Alec Williamson, Hesperia, on lemon twist PowerBait. Robert Alacanter, San Bernardino, caught a 10-pound rainbow, and Ramiro Palos, Orange County, had an 8-pounder. PowerBait, small trout jigs, and garlic nightcrawlers have been the best baits.
