HESPERIA LAKE: Trout plants are weekly and the action has been very good with a lot of quality fish from three to five pounds and an occasional bigger fish. Most anglers are getting nice stringers of fish averaging from 1.5 pounds to 3 pounds, and there have been a number of trout over 10 pounds caught each week all season. The sturgeon action is also been pretty good on fish from 15 to 30 pounds. The catfish bite has been tougher. JESS RANCH: Very good trout action on PowerBait in rainbow, garlic, spring green and orange, nightcrawlers and small trout jigs and lures. Most of the fish are in the 2-pound class. Top spots have been the eastern shore of Lake 3 and the northern, eastern and southwestern shores of Lake 2. A few catfish to 4 pounds are showing on nightcrawlers or cut baits from the eastern shore of lake 3 and the western shore of Lake 2. Top fish this week was a 5-13 landed by Julito Tumangan, Victorville, on rainbow Power Baits, while a 5-9 rainbow was landed by Jason Ocull, Phelan, to top off two limits on PowerWorms and white jigs. He also had a 4-2. Julito Tumangan, Victorville, had a 5-13 on rainbow PowerBait. Amber Thomas, 13, landed a 5-6 trout, and Brock Oldenkamp, Hesperia, caught a 4-5 rainbow. Dennis Williams, Garden Grove, landed a 4-4, while Phil Bott, San Bernardino, had a 4-3. John Adams, Victorville, had trout at 4-1, 3-14, 3-10 and 2-10.
