CUCAMONGA-GUASTI: The trout action has been fair to good, especially the day or two following county plants. Also still a few catfish showing. There were a number of limits this past week, and the top bait has been the marshmallow-meal worm combo. County trout plants are 780 pounds per week. The first DFW trout plant of the season went in two weeks ago. Information: 909-481-4205.

PRADO: County trout plants started the last week of November and they are 780 pounds per week. Rain may have caused water issues here. Anglers should call the lake in advance to make sure the park is open to fishing. Small boats (non-inflatable with a hard bottom) under 16 feet with electric motors are allowed. YUCAIPA: The trout bite has been fair to good and a few trophy trout have been caught in the past couple of weeks. Best this past week was an eight-pound rainbow landed by Richard Espinoza, Colton, fishing white PowerBait in the lower lake. Lyle Filkins, Yucaipa, had a limit of five trout up to 3 pounds from the middle lake. County trout plants are 780 pounds per week and split between two of the lakes. The first DFW trout plant of the season was three weeks ago. There will be a Junior Angler Fishing Workshop Jan. 20. Cost is $10 per child. Registration is required at least five days in advance. GLEN HELEN: County trout plants started the last week of November. Plants will be 780 pounds per week. There was also a DFW trout plant last week and four ago. This season’s adult Trout Derby will be this Saturday, Jan. 13. Entry fee is $20 per person. Information: 909-887-7540.
