CUCAMONGA-GUASTI: The trout action has been fair to good, especially the day or two following county plants. Also still a few catfish showing. There were a number of limits this past week, and the top bait has been the marshmallow-meal worm combo. There were rainbows at 9 and 4-5 pounds caught recently. County trout plants are 780 pounds per week. The first DFW trout plant of the season went in two weeks ago. Information: 909-481-4205.

PRADO: County trout plants started the last week of November. Plants will be 780 pounds per week. There will be a Junior Fishing Workshop this Saturday, Jan. 6, for kids seven to 15. Cost is $10 and registration must be done at least five days in advance. Small boats (non-inflatable with a hard bottom) under 16 feet with electric motors are allowed. Information: 909-597-4260.

YUCAIPA: The trout bite has been fair to good and a few trophy trout have been caught in the past couple of weeks. Best was a 10.5-pounder landed by Sal Susrez, San Bernardino, while fishing the lower lake with a Snapper Bait mini jig. County trout plants are 780 pounds per week. The first DFW trout plant of the season was two weeks ago. There will be a Junior Angler Fishing Workshop Jan. 20. Cost is $10 per child. Registration is required at least five days in advance. GLEN HELEN: County trout plants started the last week of November. Plants will be 780 pounds per week. There was also a DFW trout plant last week and four ago. This season’s adult Trout Derby will be Jan. 13. Entry fee is $20 per person. Information: 909-887-7540.
