LAKE HEMET: DFG trout plants last week and four weeks ago. Quite a few trout landed by both shore anglers and boat anglers. Bluegill and bass are both fair, and the catfish bite is finally coming around, with quite a few small fish. Chester Wilson, Anza, landed an 8-8 catfish fishing a worm-mackerel combo in the lagoon at the mouth of Hurkey Creek. Carp bowfishing is allowed Monday-Thursday, but bowfishermen must check in first.
